Patricia D. Leonard


DOVER-FOXCROFT – Patricia D. Leonard, 71, of Milo, wife of the late Norman M. Leonard, died Dec. 30, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital.

She was born March 5, 1935, in Milo, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Day) Doble. After completing her schooling, she was employed for a short time at Bangor Commercial Newspaper. Later she worked as a personal housekeeper for a family in the Monmouth area for many years.

She enjoyed her summers at Schoodic Lake, and took great pride in her vegetable garden, canning the produce and sharing with family and friends. She was very active in the Milo Hospital Preservation Committee. An accomplished musician, she played accordion, piano, guitar and drums.

She is survived by a son, David Leonard, and his wife, Cathy, of Winthrop; three daughters, Laurie Hunt, and her husband, Gary, of Parkman, Jill Croteau, and her husband, Paul, of Lewiston and Susan McCormick, and her husband, Rick, of West Gardiner; a sister, Martha Klein of Williamsville, N.Y.; a special brother-in-law, Herbert Carey of Milo; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Doble; and a sister, Helen Carey.
