Paul DiStefano


FARMINGTON – Paul DiStefano, 68, of Farmington, died Monday, Jan. 15, at Franklin Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born May 21, 1938, in Farmington, the son of the late Alfred and Phyllis (Ranger) DiStefano. He graduated in 1955 from Farmington High School. For more than 35 years, he owned and operated his own businesses, Farmington Welding and Paul DiStefano Excavating. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. One of his favorite pasttimes was attending bluegrass music rehearsals and festivals with his close friends. Holidays were always a very special time that he enjoyed with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Jones, and her husband, Kenneth, of Ehrenberg, Ariz., Debbie Stevens, and her husband, Vernon, of Farmington, Cindy Madore, and her husband, Kevin, of Farmington, Dianne Allen of Jay and Joanne DiStefano of Cocoa, Fla.; two brothers, John DiStefano, and his wife, Suzanne and David DiStefano, all of Farmington; a sister: Cheryl Ellis, and her husband, Gary, of New Vineyard; many nieces and nephews; and his “pals,” Henry the cat and Buddy the dog.

In addition to his folks, he was predeceased by a sister, Ann Thibodeau.
