Pearl J. Martel, 69, of 315 East Avenue, Lewiston, died Friday, February 3, at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

Born in Lewiston on December 7, 1942, she was the daughter of William and Maria Pomerleau Martel Sr.
Educated in local schools, she worked for many years in the housekeeping department of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, retiring in 2007. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Holy Cross Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul Martel and his wife, Joline, of Lewiston and William Martel Jr. of Auburn; three sisters, Georgette Mathieu of Sabattus, Jackie Drapeau and her husband, Ronald, of Auburn and Michelle Robitaille and her husband, Conrad, of Lewiston; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Also a special family friend, Yvette Sirois of Lewiston.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Martel, and a sister, Monique Martel.
