Pet of the week

FARMINGTON – Monty came to the Franklin County Animal Shelter as a stray almost a year ago. He is a distinguished feline that would love to be the one and only in someone’s life.

Staff said Monty loves to curl around legs asking for attention. He craves attention and will sit next to people patiently waiting for the next good head scratch.

His favorite home setting would be in a quiet home where he can lounge on the furniture and sit in front of a large window and stare at the bird feeders outside.

New dogs at the shelter include a small white mix female found in Farmington and a husky mix from Vienna

The rest of the dogs listed were found in crates or pens at the shelter left overnight for staff to find: five beagles found in crates by the mailbox, thin tan hound mix found in the outside pen and brindle pup found in the pen in back of the building.
