WEST PARIS — Phillip Charles Davis, 77, of Woodstock went to heaven on Friday, June 16.

He was born to the late Edgar and Lectie Davis, February 9, 1940, in Woodstock. Phillip graduated from Woodstock High School in 1958 and worked for many years at Stowell Mill in Bryant Pond and C.B. Cummings & Sons in Norway. He was married to Sonja R. Roberts on October 24, 1964, and they lived in the house he built on Billings Hill Road.

Phillip was a quiet, intelligent and talented man. He was a machinist/tool maker and enjoyed spending time in his basement shop building furniture and other things for his family. He was an all-around handyman who could create or repair anything made of wood or metal. He loved classic cars and had a ’56 Chevy Bel Air convertible that he restored and later sold. Phillip was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping with his family. Cooking was also one of his interests. Phillip had a quick and witty sense of humor that he let those close to him see. Phillip attended the Bryant Pond Baptist Church and was an Awana leader for many years.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Sonja R. Davis, of Bryant Pond; and two daughters, Dawn and Lori Davis, both of Bryant Pond.
