Pilot dies a week after copter crash

NEW IPSWICH, N.H. (AP) – A week after crashing into the Souhegan River, a helicopter pilot has died of his injuries.

James Starbuck, 60, of New Ipswich, died Thursday at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, where he was flown after last Thursday’s crash, police said.

Starbuck was unconscious when passers-by pulled him from his upside-down chopper on July 19 and got him to shore in a rowboat.
