Piper receives Fuji Award


GREENE – Jill Piper of Greene has received the prestigious Fuji Masterpiece Award, created and presented by Fujifilm, to recognize exceptional quality in professional photography.

Piper, of Lasting Image Photography in Greene, was honored for Mother and Child, a photographic image entered in the wedding category of the Maine Professional Photographers Association’s Annual Print Competition, held at the Ramada Inn of Lewiston on April 3.

The image, which also earned a Judge’s Choice Award and Court of Honor Award, was created at the wedding of Andrea Rybeck, formerly of Minot, and Brad Brown. It was chosen from more than 175 entries. Four other of Piper’s images also earned Blue Ribbon status.

The Maine Professional Photographers Association is a state photographic organization whose purpose is to promote professional excellence. There are currently more than 100 members statewide. The purpose of the Fuji Masterpiece Award is to honor professional photographers who create images of excellence and distinction.
