KEY WEST, Fla. — Carrie Plourde of Portland and Michael Norton of Portland were united in marriage on Dec. 27 in Key West, Fla., on the motor vessel Spree, with the Rev. Frank Wasson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Roland and Carol Plourde of Poland and the granddaughter of Eugene Stevens of Lewiston and the late Theresa Stevens and Gaston and Irene Plourde of Auburn. The bridegroom is the son of Ben and Judy Norton of Tenant’s Harbor and the grandson of Clyde and Patricia Sanborn of Gray.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. The bride’s dress was a flowing satin dress, just below the knee, in the color of egg shell. It was adorned with one single silk flower with feather accent in the center. The bride’s bouquet was a mix of light pink and white roses and local green lilies arranged with local Key West greenery, green berries and button spray chrysanthemums.  The bouquet was a mix of green, white, pink and yellow.

The maid of honor was Chelsea Plourde of Rochester, N.Y., sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Alexis Boutin of Penbroke Pines, Fla. Ariel Boutin of Penbroke Pines, Fla., was the flower girl and both are cousins of the bridegroom.

Best man was Anthony Norton of Falmouth. Groomsman was Matt Norton of Falmouth. Both are brothers of the bridegroom.

A reception, hosted by the couple, was held at the Pasta Garden of Key West, Fla. The couple took a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas on the Norwegian cruise line ship The Norwegian Sky.

The bride is a graduate of Poland Regional High School, class of 2002 in Poland, and from Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, class of 2006. She is employed by Edison Chouest Offshore as a captain and dynamic positioning operator.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Falmouth High School, class of 1998 in Falmouth, and from Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, class of 2003. He is employed by Hannaford Brothers as pharmaceutical category manager. They plan to live at 43 Congress St., Portland.
