Farnsworth’s poetry has appeared in magazines all over the U.S., in Canada and the UK and he has published three collections: “Three or Four Hills and a Cloud” (1982), “Honest Water” (1989) and “Rumored Islands” (2010). His work has won him a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and a P.E.N. Discovery citation. For the last 22 years he has taught writing and literature at Bates College.
Gelland’s first collection of poems “Four-Alarm House” was published last year. She ran an art gallery in New York City and translated from Norwegian before she moved from New York to Maine with her late husband Kenneth Frost.
