Police investigate 2 deaths in Prentiss, Maine

PRENTISS, Maine (AP) — Maine State Police detectives are investigating the deaths of a man and woman in Prentiss Township in northern Penobscot County.

Spokesman Steve McCausland said the bodies were discovered at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday inside a house along state Route 169 after troopers and Penobscot County sheriff’s deputies were called.

Police have not released the names of the victims.

McCausland declined to characterize the deaths, but said there is no indication anybody else was involved.

Prentiss Township is located about 20 miles northeast of Lincoln. It has a population of about 200.
