Police: Lebanon man shot in home by intruder

LEBANON (AP) — Maine State Police are on the hunt for an armed suspect who shot a man in his own home in Lebanon.

Authorities said 41-year-old Richard Potorski was taken to a hospital with a shoulder wound after he was shot by an intruder early Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Potorski was home for lunch when he surprised the intruder.

His wife called 911 when she returned home at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Potorski’s vehicle was found a few miles away across the state line in Rochester, N.H. Police are processing it for possible evidence, but there was no word on an arrest.

The suspect is described only as a white man wearing a camouflage cap.
