PARIS – The following arrests were recorded recently at the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.

• Alan Frederick Hakala, 42, West Paris, aggravated cultivation of marijuana, possession of firearms by a prohibited person, April 20, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, $100,000 surety or $50,000 cash bail.

• Aaron Wayne Newton, 34, Peru, violation of bail conditions, April 19, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, no bail allowed.

• Matthew S. Lobb, 27, Lynn, Mass., probation revocation, operating after suspension, April 19, no bail allowed.

• Charles Frederick Davis, 21, Porter, unpaid fines and fees for operating under the influence, April 19, Maine State Police, $680 cash.

• Daniel Elmer Smith, 63, Norway, violation of bail conditions, possession of schedule W drug, April 19, Maine State Police, no bail allowed.

• Colin L. Groves, 51, Oxford, operating under the influence, violation of bail conditions, possession of schedule W drug, April 18, Maine State Police, no bail allowed.

• Dana V. Ingerson, 20, Oxford, operating after suspension, failure to pay fines for disorderly conduct, April 18, Paris, $1,295 cash bail.

• Michael J. Merrill, 28, homeless, criminal trespass, violation of conditions of release, April 15, Rumford police, no bail allowed.

• James W. Jackson, 47, Hubbardston, Mass., operating under the influence, open container, April 18, Paris, $1,000 cash bail.

• Leslie R. Batchelder, 43, Bryant Pond, theft of service, April 18, Maine State Police, $300 unsecured bail.

• William B. Noble, 22, Oxford, furnishing liquor to minors, April 17, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, $500 unsecured bail.

• Thomas J. Lee, 20, Waterford, disorderly conduct, April 17, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, $500 unscured bail.

• Lori A. Smith, 43, Waterford, furnishing place for minors to consume/possess alcohol, April 17, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, $500 unsecured bail.

Accidents
Mexico

• Vehicles driven by Mary Venskus, 81, of Swift Avenue, Rumford, Joseph Volkernick, 63, of Rumford, and Peter Grusruck, 39, of Crescent Avenue, Rumford, collided at 1 p.m. on April 18 in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Venskus’ 2005 Cadillac sustained about $300 damage; Volkernick’s 1998 Ford sedan sustained about $500 damage; and Grusruck’s 2000 Pontiac sedan sustained about $300 damage.

• Vehicles driven by Michelle A. Viger, 28, Rumford, Alfred E. Smith, 72, Osgood Avenue, Mexico, and Cathy M. Witherspoon, 49, Maple Street, Kingfield, collided along Route 2 in front of Oxford Federal Credit Union at 8:40 a.m. on April 18. Viger’s 1997 Dodge van sustained $500 damage; Smith’s 1998 Ford sedan sustained $4,000 damage; and the 1999 four-door Saab owned by Sugarloaf Mountain Corp. and driven by Witherspoon sustained $15,000 damage.
