Police nab car break-in suspect

WILTON – Police officer Josh King has solved five vehicle break-ins that have taken place downtown this past week, Chief Dennis Brown said Monday, even though only three were reported to police.

King’s investigation led to a suspect who has admitted to the break-ins, Brown said. Approximately $1,000 in stolen property, including money and electronic equipment, was recovered, Brown said. The case remains under investigation, and charges are pending, he said.

Anyone in Wilton who had their car broken into last week is asked to contact the Police Department at 645-3876, Brown said.
