Port City City Jazz will play in Lovell


LOVELL – The Port City Jazz Band, a sextet that plays standards from the Great American Songbook in the small combo Chicago/Kansas City-style, will perform at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the Brick Church for the Performing Arts. Formed in 1997, the ensemble is made up of leader, trumpeter and vocalist Carl Bradford, trombonist Eric Anderson, tenor sax man Anthony Marro, guitarist Dave Sutton, acoustic bass man Tom Bucci, and drummer Don Whitney.

Among the songs they will play are “Candy,” “Bye, Bye Blackbird,” “Look for the Silver Lining,” and “Too Close for Comfort” and ballads “September Song,” “In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning” and “Mean to Me.”
