Julianne and Alex
AUBURN — The wedding of Julianne Lynne Powers and Alex Alfred Kolbe was held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 8 at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Marian Marks officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Kolbe is the daughter of James Powers Jr. and Carol Powers of Sabattus. Mr. Kolbe is the son of Pauline Kolbe and the late Peter J. Kolbe Sr. of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with pick-up skirt, cuff neckline and red lace up the back. She carried a bouquet of red roses accented with white stephanotis.
A sister of the bride, Amanda Powers, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brett Masse, cousin of the bride, and Amanda Bouchard, Alaina Gayton and Cortney Seguin, friends of the bride. Alexa Kolbe, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Jacob Deschaine, cousin of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Travys Fecteau, friend of the bridegroom, Peter Kolbe Jr., Derrick Kolbe and Raymond Kolbe, brothers of the bridegroom, Drew Masse, cousin of the bride, and Peter Kolbe III, nephew of the bridegroom. Jonathan Kolbe, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Fireside Inn and Suites in Auburn. The couple is residing in Lisbon.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Oak Hil High School and is employed as a pharmacy technician at Hannaford Pharmacy in Topsham.
The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a 2009 graduate of Central Maine Community College with an associate degree in machine tool technology. He is employed as a CNC machinist at Mid State Machine in Winslow.
