THORNDIKE — Cody Provost was perfect at the plate with three hits and three runs scored to lead Oak Hill to an 8-3 victory over Mt. View in baseball action Friday.
The Raiders (5-6) struck early with four runs in the first inning. Parker Asselin contributed a triple and three RBIs for Oak Hill.
Pitcher Ben Dyer fanned eight batters in the five-inning, rain-called game to earn the mound win for Oak Hill.
Adam Higgins and Taylor Reynolds combined for the Musangs’ (1-10) only two hits.
Georges Valley 4, Lisbon 2
THOMASTON — Brandon Knight came on in relief with the tying run on base and retired the only batter he faced to record the save and send Georges Valley top a 4-2 triumph over Lisbon in an MVC baseball game Friday.
Trailing 4-0 entering the final inning, the Greyhounds (3-8) finally solved starter Bryant Matthews. Ryan Riordan tripled and scored on a double by Alex Corey. Then with two outs, pinch hitter Chyle Cameron ripped an RBI double to cut the deficit to two runs. After a walk put the tying run on base, Knight relieved Matthews. He worked the count to 3-2 before retiring the final Lisbon batter on a ground ball back to the mound.
Ben Wallace had a double for Georges Valley (3-6).
Oak Hill 11, Mt. View 1
THORNDIKE — Lauren Hall went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs to lead Oak Hill to an 11-1 rout over Mt. View in softball action Friday.
The Raiders (8-3) exploded for all of their 11 runs in the last two innings, including eight in the last frame. Hall also earned the mound victory for Oak Hill.
Kortni Michuad was perfect at the plate with three hits and two RBIs for Oak Hill.
The Mustangs (2-10) collected four singles and a solitary run.
Mt. Abram 7, Livermore Falls 2
LIVERMORE FALLS — Senior pitcher Molly McCafferty went 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of singles to pace Mt. Abram to a 7-2 triumph over Livermore Falls in softball action Friday.
The Roadrunners led 3-0 after two innings. McCafferty fanned four batters to earn the pitching victory.
Katherine Ventrella doubled in a run in the seventh inning for the Andies (0-13) to spoil the shutout. Kasey Richards followed with a single to give Livermore Falls two runs on the afternoon.
Fryeburg 4, Sacopee Valley 0
FRYEBURG — Pitcher Sarah Harriman allowed just two hits and fanned 12 as Fryeburg Academy glided to a 4-0 victory over Sacopee Valley in WMC softball action Friday afternoon.
Ashley Watkins doubled in the first Raiders’ (13-0) run in the third inning. The next three runs were scored on pinch hits from Abbey Brown, a double, and Emily Davidson a two-run single in the fourth and fifth innings.
Michelle Pingree gave up seven hits and two walks while striking out three for the Hawks (9-3).
St. Dom’s 16, Camden 4
CAMDEN — In an exhibition of superior ball control, junior attackman Troy Haefele assisted on 10 of St. Dom’s goals as the Saints sailed to a 16-4 victory over Camden in boys’ lacrosse action Friday.
The Saints (10-0) were aggressive in the first half, scoring seven and four goals in each of the first two quarters, respectively. Senior attackman Matt Adams accumulated eight goals for St. Dom’s.
Junior attackman Max Mercier parleyed a pair of goals for the Windjammers (3-7).
