Singers and musicians from the Maine Folque Co-op will lead attendees in singing a selection of vintage favorites from the ’60s and ’70s such as “This Land is Your Land,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” “Rock My Soul” and “Kumbaya,” with lyrics provided so that all can participate. Classic fiddle tunes such as “Golden Slippers” and “St. Anne’s Reel” will add further merriment to the evening.
Mark Prevost, Schooner’s resident services director, encourages people to bring their sweet-tooth appetites for s’mores, the classic campfire treat which features a toasted marshmallow and chocolate sandwiched between two graham crackers.
The sing-along — which is open to the public free of charge — was organized by the Maine Folque Co-op in collaboration with the Maine Arts Commission’s Creative Aging Program.
