Public Theatre holding annual silent auction

Bidding will end at 5 p.m. on Mother’s Day

LEWISTON – The Public Theatre, Lewiston/Auburn’s professional theater, is holding its 13th annual silent auction in its new lobby through May 14 during the production of a comedy, “A Month of Sundays.”

The auction features more than 190 items, including a South African safari, several original art works, a signed copy of “Forever Odd” by Dean Koontz and season’s passes to the Lewiston Maineiacs. Silent Auction Chairwoman Connie Bedette said, “We have a wide selection of items ranging from a rocking chair to a rocking horse; there really is something for everyone.”

The auction is one of The Public Theatre’s largest fundraising events, and would not be possible without the support of the businesses and individuals in the community. The bidding will end at 5 p.m. on Mother’s Day following the closing performance of “A Month of Sundays.”
