PORTLAND — Ralph Hoyt, 68, of South Paris died Thursday, May 5, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Rumford on March 23, 1943, the son of Wayland and Flora McDonald Hoyt. He attended Rumford schools and had been employed as a millworker at Stowell’s, Chadbourne’s, and Bethel Furniture, and was an all around handyman and woodsman. He was a member of the Woodstock Grange, the snowmobile club, and was awarded lifetime membership to the Woodstock Fire Department, which he served for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his son, Eric and his significant other, Daniel Robichaud; his son, Scot and his wife, Jane; his life partner, Marilyn Clark; grandchildren, Joshua, Mackenzie, and Ethan and their mother Farrah Wilhelm Hoyt; his siblings, Kenneth and Alice Hoyt, Francis Hoyt, Shirley and Lloyd McKenna, Maynard Hoyt, Raymond and Earline Hoyt, Florence Lagasse, Donald and Andrea Hoyt and Alice Hoyt; the mother of his children, Joyce Mayberry Hoyt; and many nieces and nephews.
