Ralph R. Trask


PORTLAND – Ralph R. Trask, 85, of Wilton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Wilton, a son of Harry Earl and Myrtle O. (Yerxa) Trask Sr.

He attended Wilton Academy and Burdette Business College in Boston, Mass.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II in China and India.

He worked at Livermore Falls Shoe and later as a clerk in the Farmington Post Office. He attended the Livermore Falls Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the American Legion.

He loved the company of dogs, especially most recently, his poodle.

He is survived by his wife, Grace (Nye) Larsen Trask of Wilton, whom he married in Yarmouth on May 26, 1979; two brothers, Harry E. Trask Jr. of South Paris. and Everett R. Trask and his wife, Erma. of Wilton; nieces and nephews, Timothy Trask of Brockport, Mass., Rebecca Gagne of Randolph, Mass., Joanna Clark of Ellsworth, Jason Trask of Norway, Brian Trask of Brandon, Vt., and Gerard Trask of Clearwater, Fla.

He was predeceased by two sisters-in-law, Claralyn and Helen Trask.
