LEWISTON – The wedding of Amy Lorraine Rancore and Joey Brian Lanois was held at 11 a.m. on April 1 at the Lewiston United Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Cougle officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Lanois is the daughter of James and Violette Rancore of Canaan, N.H. Mr. Lanois is the son of Albert and Lorraine Lanois of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a cream colored gown with cream embroidery and small pearls, beads and rhinestones on the bodice with satin skirt with train. She carried flowers in shades of cream, periwinkle and mauve tied with the same color ribbon. The bouquet was held in a glass holder and a wedding prayer book, also carried by her grandmother, mother and sister, was attached to the bouquet with ribbon.
Belinda Dean, best friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and best man was Stanley Richardson, best friend of the bridegroom.
Paul and Roland Chabot, friends the couple, were ushers.
A reception followed at the church, after which the couple traveled to Boothbay Harbor. They are residing in Lewiston.
The bride is a high school graduate and is a senior at the University of Southern Maine in Lewiston-Auburn. She is employed part-time as a retention clerk at the Sun Journal in Lewiston.
The bridegroom received his GED and completed a Job Corps plumbing program. He is a dispatcher and driver for City Cab.
