RANGELEY — Selectmen welcomed back former member Donald Nuttall at Tuesday’s board meeting.
Nuttall was elected to fill the seat of Nate Nichols, who resigned.
The meeting began with a short public hearing in which Rangeley Region Health and Wellness unanimously received both a special-event permit and a one-day liquor license for its annual summer fundraiser. This year’s event, scheduled for Saturday, July 26, features Kenny Loggins and the Blue Sky Riders. Tickets will be available starting April 9.
The board plans to attend the water district meeting on Feb. 25 to discuss work on the water mains for High and School streets to accompany the repaving project on both streets.
A presentation by ecomaine of Portland to illustrate benefits of a new recycling program was canceled due to Tuesday’s snowstorm.
The University of New England School of Pharmacy sent a report detailing the demographic breakdown of participants in the recent Rangeley pharmacy survey. The board plans a phone conference with UNE representatives to discuss possible action on bringing a pharmacy back to town.
