Rangeley students to stage ‘Grease, Junior’


RANGELEY – On Tuesday and Wednesday, May 9 and 10, the Rangeley Lakes Regional School Music and Drama Department will present “Grease, Junior” at the Lakeside Theatre on Main Street. Show time is 7 p.m.

The cast is led by Justin Gallant as Danny Zuko and Samantha Olivieri as Sandy Dumbrowski.

The Pink Ladies are led by Raina Eustis as Rizzo, with Abby Madiera, Emily George, and Ashley Quimby. The Burger Palace Boys are led by David van Soeren as Kenickie, with Casey Clark, Ian Sanderson and Devin Duchesne.

Other cast members include Brittany Wetherill, Van Weisz, Katie Rodway, Spencer Bean, and Bethany Durgin. Domenic Cerminara makes a special appearance as the “Teen Angel” and teacher Heidi Deery will step onto the stage as the principal, Miss Lynch.

The show is directed by Sharon Connally, with music direction by Erin Smith. Choreography is created by Sonja Johnson and Susan Hamilton, with Lisa Symes serving as stage manager. The cast will be accompanied by Sue Downes-Borko on piano, Mike Schrader on bass, Vic Borko on Guitar, and Dylan Bean on drums.

The Rangeley Friends of the Arts is lending costumes, props and lighting equipment, and Steve Wilder of the Lakeside Youth Theatre is volunteering his time to run the lighting.
