Rea joins Gray’s Patient Advocates


GRAY – Patient Advocates LLC of Gray announces the expansion of the company’s employer wellness division and the hiring of Karen A. Rea, MSN, RN-BC of Portland as its wellness program manager.

Rea joins Patient Advocates with more than 27 years of clinical nursing experience.

She was most recently the senior wellness nurse/health educator with Inova HealthSource in Fairfax, Va., and currently serves as a supervisor nurse specialist appointed by the U.S. federal government as part of the National Nurse Disaster Response Team.

She will oversee the expansion of the company’s wellness planning capabilities.

Rea holds a master of science degree in nursing from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., with her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Skidmore College in New York.

She held positions in health education as adjunct faculty at both George Mason University in Virginia and the University of Virginia, and was an assistant professor of nursing at Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Md.
