The Lewiston-Auburn legislative delegation recently recognized the public service of DA Norman Croteau, who has retired. Croteau was born in Lewiston and graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in 1970. He graduated from Holy Cross College in 1974 and the University of Maine School of Law in 1977. From 1982 to 1984, he was an assistant district attorney. For the next 10 years, he practiced law in the Lewiston-Auburn area and was a partner with the firms of Dionne, Croteau and Gosselin, PA, and Couturier and Croteau, PA. He served as district attorney from 1994 to 2014. Croteau has been active in his community, serving as volunteer, teacher and director.
