Rite Aid in Naples robbed of drugs


LEWISTON — A Rite Aid pharmacy at 665 Roosevelt Trail in Naples was robbed Monday evening, authorities said.

A man entered the store alone and handed a note to the pharmacist on duty demanding drugs. He implied he had a weapon. The man was described as white, 5 feet – 5 inches tall and weighing 125-145 pounds.

He was wearing a camouflage Gortex military-style jacket, sunglasses, dark knit stocking cap, light colored jeans, white sneakers and black gloves with white edging.

The man fled the area on foot with an unknown amount of Oxycontin, a prescription narcotic.

An investigation into the robbery was investigated by a K-9 team, patrol and the detective bureau.
