Rumford board to meet April 4 on economic development matter

RUMFORD — There will be a special Board of Selectmen meeting at 4 p.m. Monday, April 4, in the Conference Room at the municipal building.

Town Manager Carlo Puiia said Tuesday that after Chairman Brad Adley opens the meeting, the board will enter an executive session to discuss an economic development matter.

Puiia also said he didn't know if the board would take any action on the matter following the session.

Action/Reaction

Frank, give it a rest. Your reaction to everything this board does is getting old. You look for the negative in every possible scenario. This April 4th meeting has yet to take place and you are crying that the sky is falling already. Unlike you, these people were elected to make these decisions - let's support their efforts in trying to move forward.

Action

By this board, what a laugh. The only one who is not afraid to step up to the plate is Mr. Belanger. This is a lame duck board. Afraid to make the tough decisions that need to be made to save money and to re-energize growth.
