Young skaters

Eileen M. Adams/Sun Journal

The skating rink at the D.A.R.E. park on Falmouth Street in Rumford was a popular spot Wednesday. A couple dozen children were doing their best to whirl around the ice, including these four grandchildren of Debbie Marston of Mexico. Hayden Chase, 2, far left, had just taken off her skates after skating for the very first time. Next to her is her brother, Kalen Chase, 7, sister Maisy Chase, 4, and cousin Piper Chase, 7. As soon as the skates were off, they were going to their grandmother's house for lunch and hot chocolate.
