Robert S. Crosman


PORTLAND – Robert Stetson Crosman, 74, of Bowdoin, died Wednesday, May 17, at Maine Medical Center after a long illness, with his family by his side.

He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Brunswick, the son of Purington and Sadie (Walker) Crosman.

He was a veteran of the Korean War with the 517th TC Company, Fort Jay, N.Y., and was honorably discharged in August 1953. He moved to Bowdoin in 1982 and retired in 1994, spending his time with family and friends.

Robert is survived by a sister, Mary Staples and her husband, Harold, of Leesburg Fla.; two sons, Stephen and his wife, Robin, of Bath, and David and companion, Cathy Dall, of Lisbon; a daughter, Kathy MacKenzie of Bath; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his longtime companion, Lorraine Ward of Bowdoin; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
