Robin Dow seniors will conduct memorial service


AUBURN — The Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St.

A memorial service will be held under the direction of the chaplain, Pat Donohue, assisted by Lucy Cowles. Bingo will be played after a bag lunch.

Forty-nine members were present when the group met May 12. Past President Virginia Houston conducted the meeting in the absence of President Merry Strout, who is recovering from recent surgery.

Trip chairwoman Evelyn Sawin is finalizing plans for the trip to Foster’s Lobster House, York, on June 18, and is requesting those that have signed up but have not yet paid, to do so, so she may make the final arrangements. They may see Sawin at Robin Dow meetings or phone her at 998-4577. A train trip is also planned for Aug. 20.

May birthdays were acknowledged. Attendance prize winners were Lucien Marcoux and Felix Yurkston; pot of gold, Nancy Roy, Nathalie St. Clair and Kay  Koss; mystery prize, Midge Demers, Aileen Harnden and Mary Cassinari.

After the meeting and a bag lunch, bingo was played.
