Roger R. Blais


LEWISTON – Roger R. Blais, 61, of 43 West Bates St., Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Friday April 14, at his residence.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 31, 1944, the son of Gedeon and Jeannette (Ducheney) Blais and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from July 24, 1962, to July 27, 1966. He was employed as a woodworker at the Jay Paper Mill.

He was a member of Holy Cross Church. He enjoyed collecting coins and baseball cards. He was an artist, enjoyed photography and most of all being outdoors taking walks in the woods enjoying nature.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Blais of Auburn; two sons, Marc Blais of Lewiston and Antoine Blais of Auburn; one daughter, Anne-Marie Drewal and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston; one sister, Lorraine Vaillancourt and her husband, Larry, of Auburn; one grandchild, Zane Blais of New York, and one coming in August; and several nieces and nephews.
