Ronald Jack Sanborn


AUBURN – Ronald Jack Sanborn, 60, of Jillson Road, Greene died Sunday, April 23, at the Androscoggin Hospice House after a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston July 4, 1945, the son of Alfred Lee and Inze (Moulton) Sanborn. He was a graduate of Leavitt Institute, Class of 1963.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1964 and served for three years. He was married on Feb. 14, 1989, to the former Linda Day who survives him of Greene. They lived together for 17 years.

He worked at Town and Country Foods for 17 years.

He enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, and was a harness horse racing enthusiast. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and step-father to his children.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his father of Greene; one son, Adam Alfred Sanborn of Greene; one step-son, Brian Day of Lewiston; twin step-daughters, Ashley and Amber Knight-Sanborn, both of Greene; one brother, Dennis and his wife, Marsha Sanborn, of Greenbush; one sister, Suzanne and her husband, Michael Waye, of Canton; two nieces, Bethany Mariah Sanborn of Portland, Kari Raelyn Sanborn of Manchester, N.H.; two nephews, John and Richard Waye, both of Canton.

He was predeceased by his mother in 1988; and by an infant son, Larry Lawrence Albert Sanborn.
