PARIS — Students of the Month for April at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are Joseph Pike, freshman; Tyler Brown, sophomore; Kristen Lindstrom, junior; and Trevor Tozier, senior. This year is the 10th year of the Rotary Club’s sponsorship of the program.
Each month, High School staff members nominate students who they feel have “made a difference in their classroom.”
The goal of the program is to reward teamwork, positive behavior, extra effort and good student citizenship. The program is coordinated through the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange and is part of the character education curriculum at the high school.
The four students were praised for their determination in the classroom, conscientious and encouraging manner, exceptional participation in Key Club, reliability and ability to mentor younger students.
The students’ names and picture are placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library. The four students had lunch with the principal and on April 7 they were honored at a Rotary breakfast.
