Rotary auction adds scholarship funds

LEWISTON – Lewiston/Auburn Rotary Club will sponsor an auction on Thursday, June 1, conducted by guest auctioneer Rotarian Chip Morrison. Items include a variety of goods and services, including golf at Turner Highlands, gift certificates to local restaurants, a custom-made pendant by Jewelry by Alfred and breakfast for four at the Ware Street Inn. Proceeds will be applied to the club’s scholarship endowment fund.

The auction, known as “Jackie’s Auction” in the club, has been an annual event since 1989. Restyled from an evening event to a luncheon by Rotarian Jackie Kahn, for many years the auction was held during the holiday season for members.

Recently Rotarians Jen Hogan and Kim Brown changed the time of year and opened it to guests. If interested in being a part of the auction this year, either as a donor or a participant or both, contact Hogan at [email protected] or by calling 784-5868.
