Route 117 curve, shoulder tip truck

HIRAM – A Fryeburg man suffered minor injuries on Friday morning after the dump truck he was driving on Route 117 strayed onto a curve’s soft sandy shoulder and rolled onto its side, Oxford County police said.

Deputy Chris Davis said later Friday that Michael Watson, 38, was taken to Bridgton Hospital by United Ambulance after the 10:30 a.m. accident.

The 1994 Mack dumptruck, which is owned by Hanson Excavation of Conway, N.H., sustained an estimated $20,000 in damage, Davis said.
