ROXBURY — The Roxbury ATV Riders have begun their pre-riding season. The trails are closed for mud season and are scheduled to open May 22 unless the ground dries up earlier. It will be updated on the Web site, www.roxburyatvridersclub.com.
The group lost a major bridge and either have to repair it or make a new trail. As the ground dries, they will be able to check all trails and see what needs to be done.
An ATV safety course will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Roxbury Town Office. Children age 10 to 15 must have a parent or guardian with them. The course is free and it is a must for children under 16 if they want to ride on the trails. The club will provide lunch.
