Incident Report Statistics:

Between 6 p.m. May 9 and 6 p.m. May 23, Rumford patrol officers responded to 165 complaints.

Arrests/Summonses:

On May 9 – 8:29 p.m., Daniel Peare, 52, of Andover was charged by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld with driving to endanger, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, failure to report a property damage crash and violation conditions of release on Ellis River Road. Peare is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.

On May 9 – 8:29 p.m., Kimberly Gautreau-Peare, 45, of Andover was charged by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld with operating under the influence on Ellis River Road. Gautreau-Peare is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on August 3.

On May 10 – 2:38 p.m., Tonia Bouchard, 19, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Dennis Ryder with terrorizing on Waldo Street. Bouchard is scheduled to appear in Rumford Juvenile Court on July 6.

On May 11 – 10:10 a.m., 16-year-old Mexico juvenile was charged by Sgt. James Bernard with terrorizing at Mountain Valley High School. The juvenile was turned over to his parents and is scheduled to appear in Rumford Juvenile Court on July 6.

On May 12 – 3:30 p.m., Tyson Hanson, 19, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with criminal trespass and violation conditions of release on Hancock Street. Hanson is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 6.

On May 12 – 8:06 p.m., Wayne Lane, 51, of Rumford was charged by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld with violating conditions of release on Essex Avenue. Lane is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.

On May 13 – 11:31 p.m., Frank Leidy, 25 of Rumford was charged by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld with disorderly conduct on Oxford Avenue. Leidy was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.

On May 15 – 11:47 p.m., Suzanne Noyes, 38, of Byron was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with operating under the influence on Main Street in Mexico. Noyes is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.

On May 16 – 4:30 a.m., Scott Hood, 27, of Rumford was charged by acting Cpl. K. Scott Mills with domestic assault on Lincoln Avenue. Hood, who was also charged with illegal possession of schedule Z drug, was unable to post $300 cash bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 6.

On May 18 – 9:45 p.m., Sarah Page, 24, of West Paris was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with operating after suspension on Ellis River Road. Page is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.

On May 21 – 7:04 p.m., 13-year-old Rumford juvenile was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with criminal mischief on Portland Street. A sign on Babe the Blue Ox was damaged. The juvenile was turned over to a family member and is scheduled to appear in Rumford Juvenile Court on July 6.

On May 22 – 12:30 a.m., Jeremy Barrett, 26, of Mexico was charged by Ptl. Donald Miller with domestic assault on Byron Street. Barrett posted $400 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 6.

On May 22 – 2:05 p.m., Archie Bradeen, 29, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Hart Daley with operating after suspension on Waldo Street. Bradeen is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.

Assault

On May 16 – 1:28 p.m., Peru resident reporting an assault which had taken place two days earlier at the scene of a crash on Waldo Street. The case is under investigation.

On May 21 – 10:50 a.m., Greenwood resident reporting an assault which had taken place a day earlier at the school on Forest Avenue. The case was investigation and two male juveniles identified. Victim refused to press charges and accepted school discipline as punishment.

Attempted Burglary:

On May 14 – 12:58 p.m., Rumford resident reporting someone attempted unsuccessfully to break into his camp.

Burglary:

On May 20 – 3:07 p.m., Crescent Avenue business reporting a burglary. Ptl. Ryder investigated the complaint and located the two young juveniles. The Rumford and Mexico juvenile will each do eight hours of community service at the shop.

On May 21 – 8:24 p.m., juveniles were witnessed breaking into a camper in the Strathglass Park and damaging numerous windows. The case is under investigation.

Criminal Mischief:

On May 10 – 9:23 a.m., Dixfield resident reporting damage to his vehicle while it was parked on Canal Street. Unknown person scratched the vehicle. No damage amount listed and the case is under investigation.

On May 19 – 8:08 a.m., Penobscot Street business reporting someone pulling up fencing from their property. No damage and the case is under investigation.

On May 19 – 11:16 p.m., Rumford resident reporting damage to his vehicle while it was parked on Lincoln Avenue. Unknown person wrote on the vehicle. The case is under investigation.

On May 22 – 7:31 p.m., Rumford resident reporting damage to the old furniture store on Waldo Street. The witness observed the juvenile suspects and the case is under investigation.

On May 23 – 12:27 a.m., Rumford resident reporting damage to a portable toilet at Hosmer Field. The toilet was just knocked over and no damage observed. The case is under investigation.

Theft:

On May 18 – 1:32 p.m., Rumford Library reporting theft of $300 worth of DVDs. The case is under investigation .

On May 22 – 10:01 a.m., Route 2 business reporting a gas drive-off of $24.85 which had taken place a day earlier. The business has video cameras and had hoped to have evidence. The case is under investigation.

Wanted

Daniel Marshall, 24, of Rumford/Mexico is wanted on a Superior Court warrant for theft.
