Russell joins Lewiston firm

LEWISTON — Gabrielle Russell, LEED AP, has joined Smith Reuter Lull Architects of Lewiston, a firm providing a wide range of design and construction services to communities throughout Central and Western Maine and New Hampshire.

Russell, who grew up in Auburn, attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and St. Dominic’s High School. She is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, where she earned her bachelor and master of architecture degrees.

By joining Smith Reuter Lull Architects as a designer, she now returns to work in the community where she lives and joins a small group of people who are able to both live and work in the downtown. Russell’s most recent prior job experience was at Langford and Low, a commercial construction company where she was involved in design, marketing and project management. She is in pursuing completion of the Architectural Licensing Exam process.

In addition to serving as chairwoman of the city of Lewiston Zoning Board of Appeals and past involvement on L-A Arts board of directors, Russell and her partner recently purchased and have redeveloped a portion of the “Le Messager” building into commercial and residential space.

She lives in the downtown area.
