FARMINGTON — Ruth Thomforde Seegers, 92, of Farmington, died May 13, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1918, in Kennett Square, Pa., daughter of Margaret W. and Charles F.B. Thomforde. Ruth was an accomplished watercolor painter, selling her art from her Ogunquit gallery “Piece of Cake.”
Ruth was an art teacher at Quaker Schools, where her husband taught history.
She is survived by her sisters, Esther Gally of Cuernavaca, Mexico, and Mary Lewis of Callicoon Center, N.Y.; her children, Dona Seegers of Mt. Vernon and Larry Seegers of Katonah, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Adrienne Seegers of Sonora, Calif., Erin Seegers of Industry, Thierry Seegers of Sunnyvale, Calif., Jesse Seegers of New York City, N.Y., and Molly Seegers of Philadelphia, Pa.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest “Jim” Seegers.
