Saturday auction will raise funds for Auburn church


AUBURN – The Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave., is holding a fundraiser auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, with licensed auctioneer Russ Moors. Doors will open at 5, with a snack bar offering hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks and time to view auction items.

Items include a day’s sailing for four out of East Boothbay; a week at a Bethel area condominium; eight tickets to the Sea Dogs’ picnic area; a five-course dinner for eight served in the home; one-hour of lawn mowing a week for the season; furniture; framed paintings and prints; an organ; a piano; and gift certificates from area businesses.

“The auction is an opportunity for people from the community to bid on quality goods and services while helping out a good cause and having fun. Proceeds from the auction will be support the ongoing work of the Auburn United Methodist Church, which does a great deal to improve the lives of people in our community,” said church Lay Leader Eric Howes.

“We are grateful for the many items and services that have been donated for the auction by area businesses and individuals,” said Howes.
