SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford County Education Association-Retired has announced that scholarships for 2010 will be four $500 grants. Preference will be given to students pursuing some career in education.
Scholarships will be granted not only to area high school students, but also to nontraditional students who are re-entering programs of study.
All applications must be obtained from and submitted through local high school guidance departments, which will send in their nominees by May 1.
Candidates must be legal residents of Maine. The awards will be given to the winning candidates at the end of the first semester, provided that they qualify at that time.
