School has most ‘spirit’


LISBON – The Lisbon Community Pride Committee sponsored a “Spirit Day” competition among the schools recently. Lisbon Community School, Philip W. Sugg Middle School and Lisbon High School participated.

The community school had 93 percent of its students and staff adorned with school colors. The middle school had 90 percent participation, and Lisbon High School tallied 80 percent participation.

Steve Doucette, a member of the Community Pride Committee and transportation and maintenance director for the Lisbon School Department, presented the Spirit Trophy to the members of the community school’s Student Council during a recent visit to the school.
