BOSTON, Mass. – Scott J. Rice, 53, a resident of Tillson Road, Monmouth, died peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday, April 15, at Massachusetts General Hospital where he had been a patient for the past three months. In 1989, Scott and his family moved to Monmouth. He worked for H.E. Sargent Construction Company as a timekeeper and for Public Works Supply in Lewiston in sales.

He took much pride in restoring and customizing old cars and liked riding motorcycles, but especially enjoyed doing things with his kids. Scott was a great person to be around and will be missed by those that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Judi, of Monmouth; his father and step-mother of Greenville; a son, Sean Rice of Monmouth; a brother, Randy and his wife, Gail, of Freeport; very good friends, Tim and Cindy Stevens and Tom and Kathleen Nations, all of Monmouth; also the many kids that he adopted over the years.
