PARIS — The Seneca Club, the Paris Public Library’s Friends Group, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the library.
The annual meeting will provide members an opportunity to share ideas on supporting the library and its services. Light refreshments will be served.
The group has been active during the past year, helping to clean the library’s grounds and regularly decorating the library’s Soule entrance. The group donated children’s books, which were distributed during the library’s Halloween and Christmas parties, contributed to the library’s summer reading program expenses and paid for the library’s annual subscription to the Maine InfoNet Download library which allows Paris Public Library members to download audio books for their MP3 players or iPods.
Besides solicting from the town’s businesses and citizens, the group has also raised funds by holding basket-making workshops, led by the Seneca’s Club’s Co-President Karen Ellis.
All members and anyone interested in joining the group are welcome to attend the meeting.
