Seniors plan ham dinner


AUBURN — The New Auburn Senior Citizens will host a ham dinner at noon Wednesday, April 21, at the St. Louis Church basement hall. The cost is $5 and for members only.

The regular meeting was held on April 7 with president Virginia Levasseur presiding. April birthdays were noted and “Happy Birthday” was sung. April birthday members also received a small gift.

It was voted to install a chair lift for members who have a problem with stairs.

Trips being offered are to Hollywood Slots, May 11 and June 8, for $24 each person; Atlantic City, April 25 to 28, for $269 each person; Indian Head for Mother’s Day with Jose Dudley, Friday, May 7, includes dinner and show, for $55. For more information on trips, call Jean at 784-5264.

Helen Lepage was the 50/50 winner. Pot of gold winners were Lucille Dick, Helen Marsh, Robert Robichaud, Irene Delorme, Roger Lehoulier and Robert Morin.

A luncheon was served after the meeting and bingo followed. Open bingo for seniors 60 and older will be Wednesday, April 14 and 28. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 5.
