Seniors plan last meeting of the season

LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay Livermore Falls Seniors met on May 10 at Murray Hall with Shirley Couture presiding.

The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and accepted. Couture said Shirley Toncer is now home, Lois Gordon is now out of the hospital and at the Clover Manor in Auburn and Alice Demoras is also home recuperating from pneumonia.

It was voted to donate to Androscoggin Home Health to help with all the help they give to area members and others.

On Monday, May 17, Andrea Quaid from Congressman Mike Michaud’s office will speak to the group about available services. It will also be the last meeting until fall, and a light lunch will be served at noon. Salads or other dishes will be brought in by members and finger rolls will be supplied by the club. Cake and ice cream will be served for dessert.

The 50/50 was won by Gloria Hersey. The meeting was adjourned, followed by a Chinese auction. Refreshments brought in by Jean Luciano and Blanche Bilodeau were served and enjoyed by all.
