Sewer rate set for Lisbon


LISBON – The Town Council has approved a $1,058,450 pollution control budget for 2007-08, which will result in a sewer rate of $4.50 per 100 cubic feet, unchanged from last year according to Town Manager Curtis Lunt. The budget covers the cost of operating the sewage treatment plant and 11 pump stations.

Norma Wells has moved from vice chairman to chairman of the Town Council replacing Layne Curtis, who recently resigned. Councilor Mike Bowie has been named the new vice chairman.
