Seymour out of Pro Bowl

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – New England defensive lineman Richard Seymour, the Patriots’ lone selection in next month’s Pro Bowl, has pulled out of the game and been replaced by Jacksonville defensive tackle John Henderson, the Jaguars said Friday.

Seymour was slowed part of the 2006 season by elbow and groin injuries.

Henderson had 64 tackles, 12 quarterback pressures and 3.5 sacks last season. It will be his second trip to the Pro Bowl and first since the 2004 season.

A first-round draft pick who has not missed a game in his five-year career, Henderson will join teammate Rashean Mathis in Honolulu for the Feb. 10 game.

Henderson also will become the fifth player in franchise history to play in multiple Pro Bowls, joining offensive tackle Tony Boselli, quarterback Mark Brunell, receiver Jimmy Smith and defensive tackle Marcus Stroud.
