LEWISTON — Shane M. Wright, 24, of 763 Lisbon St., Lewiston, died in Lewiston on Feb. 18.
He was born in Lubbock, Texas, June 15, 1987, the son of Terrence and Suzanne Clavette Wright. He proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2008, and served with the 15th Field Artillery Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea from January 2009 to January 2010. In February 2010, he graduated from the Airborne Course at the Army Infantry School in Ft. Benning, Ga., and then served in the 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. He enjoyed his time in the service, but had to leave active duty due to Crohn’s disease, receiving a medical retirement in February of this year.
Shane had a lifelong love of the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and 4-wheeling. He also enjoyed planning and installing automotive stereo systems with his friends.
Survivors include his mother, Suzanne Wright of Lewiston; his father, Terrence Wright and wife. Sue. of Oklahoma; a sister, Crystal Wright of Auburn; several cousins; and many good friends including his best friends since childhood, Shawn, Jason and Ryan Bouchard.
