Simone Cadorette


ST. HYACINTHE, Quebec — Sister Simone Cadorette (Sister Binette), 95, of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Hyacinthe, passed away on April 14.

She was born in Disraeli, Quebec, April 7, 1915. She entered the community on March 19, 1934, and made profession on Sept. 29, 1936.

She served as a nurse in various areas in the states, namely St. Mary’s Hospital, as director of nursing and clinical instructor and also in Berlin and Manchester, N.H. She also worked in hospitals in Canada, Sherbrooke, Granby and St. Hyacinthe, all in the Province of Quebec. She retired in 1988, where she kept close contacts with the sick, by numerous visits and helping out with minor tasks.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Gaetane Dussault and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gagnon (Sylvaine) from Quebec; and a few nephews and nieces, also from Quebec.
